Sewing
Thanks to our comprehensive machinery, there are hardly any limits when it comes to the material selection or the choice of sewing techniques. From simple lock stitching machines to computer-operated portal sewing machines: The sewing technique is determined by the product requirements. A&R Textil processes fabrics, knitwear, non-woven fabrics, leather, plastics, foil, cardboard, sheets and a great number of alternative materials.
Welding
Waterproof and seamless welding is essential when it comes to many industrial textile areas. Welding means physical joining. Therefore, similar materials with an identical melting point should be used for this manufacturing technology to ensure that the weld seam is as stable as the underlying material, without adding other materials. The pressure, the temperature and the duration of the welding process must be carefully coordinated for any welded material.
Thermoforming
Thermoforming is used for shaping thermoplastic materials. The main advantage of this technique lies in its extensive field of application: The special properties of foams, non-woven fabrics and plastics make it possible to create various shapes. Compound products, such as foams with fabric or foams with plastic, can also be easily processed. The final shape of the product is created by tools etched from aluminium. A&R Textil uses a portal milling machine to create the tools for the press itself. This makes it possible to implement very complex requirements and to meet the customers’ detailed wishes in the shortest of times.
Laminating
Laminating refers to the joining of several layers of the same or different materials using laminating tools. This manufacturing technology is used for protection and/or decoration. At the same time, the technology combines the benefits of different material properties. The material is added on top or below a layer with the desired properties – or placed between two layers.
Non-textile components
A&R Textil is not only specialised in processing textile materials. We skilfully combine fabrics with wood, metals, plastics and many other materials. Depending on the materials and requirements, we use different technologies. We process all components required for the finished product. This includes plastic injection parts, wire bending elements or deep-drawing parts.
Stitching
Stitching is perfect for embellishing your product with your logo, a slogan or a symbol. Our high-end stitching machines allow for fast, reliable and resilient finishing of your products. Our range includes various types of stitching machines, from single head to 12-head machines.
CustomTech
CustomTech stands for individual and tailor-made technical textiles – and reflects A&R Textil’s drive for innovation. Many applications and solutions from our development department cannot be put into specific categories. They are proof of A&R Textil’s problem-solving skills. We don’t shy away from challenges. On the contrary: Our creative and competent team is waiting for your list of requirements!
MedTech
MedTech includes technical textiles for the medical and rehabilitation industry – including innovations for the manufacturing, processing and application of hygienically sensitive products. Technical textiles from the MedTech area ensure effective medical care. Due to their high requirements with regard to process reliability, MedTech products are among the most sophisticated technical textiles.
ProTech
ProTech includes technical textiles for the protection of people and property. These innovative products from the field of “personal protective equipment” (PPE) must be prepared for adverse external conditions and impacts. This is why technical textiles from the ProTech area are used as PPE for the fire department, for industrial workers (e.g. welders) and for forestry workers. They are also applied as protective gear in cleanrooms and laboratories.
